VIZIO E320VA Review – pros and cons
VIZIO E320VA has an audio quality which is higher than most televisions. The sound is quite clear even when the TV is in low volume. The audio also has an equalizer available; it enables fine-grain controlling of audio quality no matter what the room is like. It is capable of high volume output.
Coming to the not so impressive characteristics of VIZIO E320VA, it does not maintain a constant bright display; at times some of the scenes look way too dark. I don’t understand why they made the front light on the TV so bright that even when I switch it off it is still bright.
The VIZIO E320VA has been made for a budget-conscious buyer who does want a small part of everything, yet at an attractive price. The resolution of the TV has been compromised since it has been integrated with 720p. The manufacturer very smartly set its price lesser since everyone would buy a 32-inch television for cheaper. Many TV channels have 720p content, and hence there will be no problem watching these programs.
I have compared previous year models by VIZIO to my VIZIO E320VA; there are no changes in contrast ratio which is a good thing. This produces the TV’s nice black levels. In fact, I find the black level in the current set much better than the previous models. Due to the wide array of colors there is a naturalistic look to all images. I love watching the Discovery channel on this TV.
It is upsetting that the response time and refresh rate have also been compromised in this model by Vizio to 8 ms and 60 Hz respectively. No doubt, there is lots of blurring effect during action scenes. Fast action sequences such as swishing swords or whizzing cars do look blurred since the frames are not able to refresh as fast as the fast actions. Let me be very honest here, if you are an avid fan of action movies or a PC game fanatic then you won’t find this TV that good. You simply won’t enjoy all of these in VIZIO E320VA. I can’t watch the Blu-ray disc movies in their entire capacity because of this TV’s low resolution.
VIZIO E320VA Review – Final word
Other than what I have mentioned, the options for connectivity are good. The USB and the HDMI along are great for photo viewing. It allows me to connect the DVD players, camcorders and gaming consoles with no problems at all. I like looking at the photographs clicked from my digital camera on the TV screen. My other consolation about this TV is this that I save a lot of money on my bills due to Vizio’s energy saving features. It is a great relief that HDTVs these days have this feature. I think it is a smart thing employed by manufacturers which benefits everyone in the end. I would definitely recommend this TV.

Audio problems with this TV — I get a sound surge, then rapid stuttering, then the TV shuts off all together. Has anybody else encountered this, and how did you solve it?
best thing to do it get it checked out. sometimes the boards need to be flashed but normally you want someone who is authorized to work on it to do so. Any extended warranty will cover that.
Yes, I have had the same audio problem since day one. I have switched my H.D. box out three times, its not a cable issue. Vizio will gladly send you a USB firmware update tool, it did not work for me. They also sent out a tech since Im still under warranty. That did not fix it either. My only option left is to send it back to Vizio, on my dime, and hope there refurbished one is better then mine. I suggest you just live with it, it is what it is.
wow, i guess things like this happens when they sell so many units. i hope you get it resolved
