The Sony KDL32EX500 is has got technology & design combined perfectly. The connectivity is very advanced and gives out a stunning Full HD pictures. BRAVIA EX500 blends all the features with lots of style. From this aspect, it is all that I have been searching for my TV. Whether I am watching Television, playing games or films, the Full HD gives more detail when compared to the Standard Definition Television. This TV gives out an incredible picture quality which ushers in home entertainment back to life. I can explore the internet on my TV screen through BRAVIA’s Internet Video. I can watch the news, my favorite shows and video clips whenever I want to. Sony KDL32EX500 has got Wi-Fi too.
The Ambient Sensor helps in getting realistic pictures during late night movies or while playing games. The picture colors are automatically adjusted when use the TV for these activities. I share my photos and listen to my favorite tracks with the USB Input. I simply connect my digital camera (which is also by Sony), MP3 player that is USB enabled, or any USB device straight to my Sony KDL32EX500’s USB input.
The BRAVIA Engine in Sony KDL32EX500 delivers vibrant, sharp life-like images. At the same time optimizes the color and contrast while significantly decreasing noise with its digital processor. The BRAVIA Sync is capable of conveniently operating and controlling the other compatible devices like Blu-ray players, surround sound system, handy cams and cyber-shot cameras. All are controlled with 1 remote control. Motion flow technology increases frame rate as compared to the standard frame rates of 60 frames per second. The Image Blur Reducing technology delivers a fluid, crisp, and natural viewing experience. The Light Sensor technology also helps in reducing extra power consumption since the sensor can dim the backlight while watching movies.
Sony KDL32EX500 Review – pros and cons
The VGA input in Sony KDL32EX500 is handy in connecting laptop to stream video playback. It has got a total of seven high definition inputs. The bright picture is good during the daytime and the Blu-ray looks amazing as well once the settings are adjusted as per our personal preference.
The Motionflow also works real nice on a few Blu-rays, but it is not the same for every movie, but I really prefer it to the 24p True Cinema. The computer games look too good when the Motionflow is on. When Motionflow is on, it makes the 60fps appear like 120fps plus it is very easy to make out how smooth and clear everything is. This TV is very energy efficient and uses just 40 watts in its energy saving mode. So all the above are the good things about this model. Now, I would like to state some bad points too. This Sony model does not have dedicated Motionflow switch on its remote, I have to navigate through menus in order to switch it on. It has no internet applications plus no built-in network for connectivity. It takes too long to respond when I want to change the channels.
Sony KDL32EX500 Review – Final word
I am happy with my Sony KDL32EX500 set. If you are one of those people who like True cinema 24P and Motionflow and you don’t mind paying a little more, then it is not a bad choice. Even if you pay more, in the long run this HDTV will save you lots of money due to its reduced energy costs. Your monthly electricity bills will wow you every month. However, there are less expensive sets that don’t have the features I just mentioned, but I won’t go for any of those sets. I am happy I selected this model by Sony.
