I know one thing for sure, many of us don’t want to spend too much or go overboard while planning to buy a new television set. So, this particular set that I have mentioned might be a reasonable choice compared to other more expensive sets. Priced at $550, this television set is quite affordable. It has good quality picture and it has high definition resolution. LG has been smart enough to equip the set with various AV modes in order to optimize the sound and picture based on whatever we might be watching. We can set it by using its remote control.
LG 32LD450 Review – Real Customers
One of the good things about the LG 32LD450 is this that it’s very user-friendly and it could be managed real easy. With a reasonable screen size, the television set takes up very little space. I like the fact that LG always makes TVs with very thin silhouettes. I can use this TV for my video games as well. “Games” is one out of the various AV modes. My first experience of playing games here was pretty impressive. I like the quality and it was enjoyable. I would like to include some technical specifications:

LG 32LD450 Review – Dimensions
It is 31.5 x 19.9 x 2.9 inches without the stand and weighs 17.9 pounds.
The high definition 1080p resolution that the LG 32LD450 offers is higher to standard quality HDTV. The quality offered by this television set is incomparable. I am experiencing amazing details with every color that is imaginable. Its 100,000:1 ratio of dynamic contrast enables a perfect mix of dark colors and light colors. The Picture Wizard feature allows customizing shadows, colors, contrast, backlight levels and tint. I find no difficulty in using this feature, spares me the guesswork. The reference point on the screen makes the calibration super easy. What is even cooler is this that even the audio could be customized. I could make the dialogues more audible even with a noisy background. I can enjoy all of my favorite tracks on VH1, all thanks to the Infinite Sound feature.

LG 32LD450 Review – pros and cons
What appealed to me the most about LG 32LD450 is its inexpensive price. Although, when I compare this set with Sony and Samsung, I must say that I am a little disappointed as far as the contrast performance is concerned. This LG model lacks high-contrast, showy performance that the Sony and Samsung models have. No doubt the color performance is outstanding.
LG 32LD450 is not free of flaws. One of its many features is that of processing a Dynamic Contrast, this particular feature increases and decreases the backlight basing on the screen content. I can’t help getting distracted and it annoys me a lot when it happens while watching movies that have constant light and dark shifts. It has no problem in maintaining uniform peak brightness. It also offers excellent screen uniformity when compared to most other LCDs due to its CCFL backlighting. The problem is, when the screen is all-black it’s nearly perfect but when it’s all-white the yellowing and dimming corners are too evident, but it’s not essentially distracting.
I am not happy about the fact that neither LG 32LD450 offers internet features nor it connects to home theaters but to be honest it’s a dirty cheap set. However, it could play back photographs in JPEG formats from the USB device. It has a straightforward interface and starts up the moment I plug in my USB device. I can flaunt the photographic slideshow to family and friends with music on the background.
LG 32LD450 can only play music from USB device, but not from movie clips. Audio quality is strictly okay, probably because the speakers are cheap. I am surprised that in spite of so many menu options available for tweaking the sound, it still is not amazing enough. The model consumes less power than most units.
LG 32LD450 Review – Final word
Overall, I can say that LG 32LD450 is good enough for average consumers. It offers an impressive quality with lots of value.
